ED for 2011 Z4's
Since I keep hearing about the crazy lease specials on the 2011 Z4s I decided to jump on it by doing a ED. My CA in Northern California just told me that any new production of Z4s will be for the 2012 model and ED will not makes sense because the lease deal is for a 2011 model. How true is this? Can ED be still done on 2011 models? Please help.

the program ends on June 30. but if u order the car now u can lock the program & rate for 90 days. i don't know if the car will be 2012 but if u get one to build soon it won't be 2012. but again i don't know what's the lead time on the ED?
on the side note, does anyone know if there will be a 2012 35is? i ask because given the fact that the 35is uses the same engine as 1M, which i was told the engine will not meet the 2012 emission therefore it will only be a 1 year run. if that's the case, then the 35is should be the same deal as well. any thought? |

August is virtually a dead month in the German motor car industry with holidays. I'm not sure if there are production shut downs or what, but I would venture to guess that 2011 cars will finish production by the end of July and that 2012s will begin production in September. My Z4 has been moved up from early July to this past week.

Can you at least tell me what percentage off MSRP you got the car for?

Your dealer has an 8% margin. Check Edmunds for a good $$$. Many on these forums claim great deals. Be wary and be realistic. ED prices are very good but don't expect much if any in addition to. If you want a 2011 at the great lease rates you have little time to decide. July builds. 2012s will be built after the August holiday.

500 Over Invoice
500 over invoice is easy to get in SoCal. I got 400 over invoice on my upcoming Z4 ED and my prior 1 series ED, but both times we ordered 2+ cars.
If you are in SoCal I recommend Greg Poland at Pacific BMW. Contact info below. Tell him Kalman referred you. He has done a couple ED's for my friends and I and we have very happy with his service.
