I do have to agree with you the e89 twin turbo is a wonderful piece of engineering and it has a lot of power ... I am certain the next generation of the ///M3 will be a in-line 6 cylinder tweaked to perfection with a twin turbo also

Actually I still wish they'd released an E89 Z4M with the S65 engine and reworked suspension. Looks like it'll never happen now, and the rumours of the tri-turbo are just depressing...
Then again, have you guys checked out Manhart's E89 engine upgrades? http://translate.google.com/translat...orumbauten.htm |

Maybe they'll skip the s65 engine and give the e89 a slightly detuned version of the upcoming m3 engine like they did with the original z3M.

Think about it, all the 1M required was an upgraded N54 engine wise, it wouldn't be that hard for M division to put the same tuning setup on a Z4, upgrade some suspension, slap on M3 ZCP wheels and brakes, flare the fenders, and call it a day.

Leave well enough alone
I'd have mixed feelings about any changes to the current E89 body. I think it's quite beautiful and I wouldn't want to see it contaminated with garish add-on pieces. I would hope any changes brought on by the Z4M would be as tasteful and artistic as the original work. I think that would be difficult, but I'm open minded.

No, it doesn't matter to me either way, I am 100% satisfied with my 35i and would not consider selling my car to get a Z4M, which will most likely be over-priced.

I agree with BLUE, if we had wanted an M car we would have bought one. Our Z4 is just perfect with all the M bits but no badges.
