Is your N54 losing oil?

Car has about 4500 miles on it and the electronic dip stick is telling me that my oil is almost at min. Is this common? None of my other cars ever lost oil that quickly. Is topping off oil included in the free maintenance? iDrive is telling me my oil is still good for another 12000 miles. Yeah, right.

I should add that I do not have oil on the floor in the garage, nor is there any evidence of oil in my parking space at work. So I assume it must be burning oil.

I used 3/4 of the stick in 25000kms (16000miles) Better get it checked out...might just be a level sensor malfunction

I just noticed today that mine burned about 1/4 of a quart in 3,000 miles (car has 4,600 miles on it, got its first oil change at 1,600.)

Don't worry too much yet, some engines burn some oil in their youth. Especially turbocharged ones.
If it persists after 10,000 miles then there might be an issue.
