Lowering springs

Hi all,

I've been thinking about getting lowering springs for my 23i, but I'm worried about the possible negative side effects. From what I've read, the biggest problem associated with lowering spring used with stock shocks are (1) the car feels very bouncy on uneven road, and (2) the stock shock gets worn out easily.

Just want to know if these are serious problems for our cars. Has anybody here gotten lowering springs and not the way they feel on the road, or has experienced problems with them?

Thanks.

Bootboot... It all depends on what Springs you are getting. In general, it is preferable to change the springs with the coil-overs (one brand).
However, there are few company (like Eibach) that offers OEM springs. That is specific springs designed for the OEM stock shocks...
I bought the Eibach springs but did not install them yet.. Planning to do so by the end of this month (once I have some time around)

I have the AC-Schnitzer springs on which are relatively "hard springs", the ride is excellent, the car behaves better in cornering, it feels more accurate and predictable and it seems to launch better. Another cool thing it adds is aggressive and sporty look.
Now.. Since the springs are harder i need to be careful in poor and bumpy roads and avoid potholes, but thats mostly cause i run on low profile tires on 19 inch rims.

Thanks for the comments. I ended up getting the Eibach. Had it installed today. Feels more planted in the corners. I really like them.
