Definitely! We still need to get together. I'm putting the finishing touches on the M3, then I'll turn my attention to the Z4. As it is right now, I can't decide which car I like more. I'm a little afraid that if I work on the Z, it will leave the M behind (literally and figuratively). Good problem to have, I guess!

Hey guys

Any news on that? I m going to track my car and want a good solution. I m going to 500hp next month so...

I was asking my self if possible to put the S55 oil cooler on our cars since the oil filter box looks the same and there is a lot of place on the front in the e89 so maybe...I have an M4 and the coolant system is very good even on track use.

Try this, and search dual oil cooler on e90post, n54 section. There are a few write ups on custom set ups.

Thanks, I already saw the threads for 335 but no proof that it will feet on z4.

Sin ce there is plenty of space on the front on the water cooler, maybe a good Setrab oil cooler can do it...

I have the 35i that didn't have the oil housing with oil cooler setup. Bought a new OEM oil housing with oil cooler, but ran with the RB thermostat delete plate, mishimoto 19 row oil cooler with the mishimoto thermostat. The thermostat opens at 185 degrees (I believe stock oil thermostat opens at 240). I have the oil cooler mounted on the passenger side behind the front bumper (normal location for stock oil coolers on our cars), but you definitely have to do a custom mount for it.

It runs about 220/230 when I'm pushing hard. Got stuck in traffic one day from a long drive and noticed it jumping up to 245/250.

Throw in a BMS thermostat delete or reverse the stock thermostat. Either way upgrading the oil is still a +

I have placed an order for the ER dual Oil Coolers but the workshop worked on my project confirmed that the connections and hoses that come with the kit don't fit the Z4. Now when i receive the car, i will have to find someone to fabricate those connections for those Oil Coolers. BTW i emailed ER inquiring if they can customize those parts for me but they told me they don't customize them for the Z4.

Alright, joking aside, I ended up installing a high speed oil cooler fan, as well as an additional oil cooler with separate pump. The pump draws oil from the front of the oil pan and returns cooled oil to the rear of the pan. In the middle we installed a baffle, just in front of the engine oil pump inlet. The benefit of this system is that it does not influence the oil pressure, and also ensures that the sump is wetter where oil is needed for the engine oil pump. The drawbacks are that it needs to be turned on manually when needed (both the pump and fan), and that my horn now sounds terrible haha. Because we installed the additional oil cooler on the drivers side.

I have posted pictures in my build thread on spo olstreet under the Z4 section.
