New Shoes on my Z4

So finally the day came for 296's to crack and I changed them with mesh style wheels.
Initially I thought I would go black out.. but I got it will kill the looks of the car. Hope I made a better decision.
Do I need little drop to get a more aggressive look?

Those wheels look too small for the arches.
You should have gone for at least 19".
Lowering the car will help but the wheels will still be too small.

Looks nice but I agree that the mesh plus lip makes the wheels looks smaller. A slight drop should make it look much better.

Hey Hulk.. They are 19 inch wheels.
Mesh and lip is making it look smaller.. But they look huge in person.

Looks great, a drop on springs and small spacers would look even better!

I am considering a drop with H&R springs.
Any recommendations on spacers would be appreciated.
I am thinking of going 10mm on both front and rear, but have no experience with spacers before.

I think you will have issues going more than 5mm on the front if you put H&R springs on it with 19's. In addition I had to do some minor work on the rear wheel well liner, took about 30 minutes. Instructions in German, but pretty good pictures to show how much material was removed, and using a heat gun to reset the outside arch. The German T.U.V. will fail a car if they see any contact in this area.

Wow, they look really small if they are 19".
Are you sure there not 19cm?

Those are step lip, so the face is actually 18" so it might looks smaller in pictures. With a 10mm you should be completely fine, the front has a good amount of space. With a camber plate, you can fit a 9.5 +20~ offset or anything equivalent pretty easily.

I don't think they look small at all - looks great. I also don't see the need to drop your car....but others disagree...if we were all the same it would be pretty boring! Enjoy

Sorry, stupid question, but what's wrong with OEM wheels? I think the wheels make it look like something from Knight Rider....not very nice I'm sorry, but I just think why ruin something that is so beautiful anyway

What offset and size of the rims/tires? I am in the market of buying a set myself.

All help is greatly appreciated.
