Also got the nicer pedals

Sorry for the poor picture

Edit: You don't need to unplug the airbag, that might set off codes but, do unplug the battery as a precautionary measure.
Very nice work.
In italy, I got difficulties with BMW official shop.
Perhaps, I would be easier to drive in India to have the installation together.
Jokes apart, I looked at the paddles pics, and I have a qustion: I noted that only 1 paddle has got an electrical wire for the connect; the other one seems to be without wires.
How did you install the paddles?
Bye.

Thank you, give BMW a miss & look for a good tuner or garage that specializes in BMW or high end cars in general. My paddles were installed at a friends garage that works on super-cars, its really a very simple install.

I was a bit unsure when I received the kit too, the site didn't have pics of the product when I ordered. I assumed, I was the first one to order that part from them.

The downshift (left) paddle uses the stock plug where as the up-shift (right) paddle uses an extra wire/plug to work. I'm not sure about the technical reasoning but once everything plugs in, it all works perfectly. They are so much nicer to use, softer & quicker than the old shifters.

Been trying to remove the airbag for 2 days, just can't seem to line up the spring. Was easy on my old e46. Any advice?

I succeeded on my 2011. Took some pictures and started writing it up, but looks like you beat me to posting it. The parts from EAS are exactly what you need. Very simple if you're comfortable removing the airbag.

These things are a hell of a lot nicer to use than the old push / pull style

Just did this upgrade in my 2009 35i Exit push/pull, enter pull/pull. :-D
Installs without any modifications or reprogramming needed.
You only need to pop the airbag. Make sure you follow proper instructions on the airbag removal. Unplug battery and bleed the electrical system before fiddling with the airbag.

I installed the BMW originals from the latest models. Will have the number(s) next week.

Did you upgrade from old to new Z4 paddles or from old Z4 paddles to E9x M3 paddles?

I did the former upgrade, but the new Z4 paddles still leave something to be desired compared to my OEM M3 paddles.
