I found this link that may be of some help. I saw other links where the fellow put the stock back in since he could not get his high beams to work.

Click Here to Go to the Link I found

Don't want to hijack the thread but here are some pics of mine with the MTEC bulbs I received tonight. On your left, the OEM, on the right the MTEC Cosmo Blue with the headlights on and off.
Clearly the OEM Bulb is brighter. The difference in color with the Xenon makes it distinguishable even when dimmed.

What do you guys think? I am leaning towards keeping the OEM.

I would keep the OEM. They appear more uniform and brighter than the MTEC bulbs from the picture.

Depends how often you use your lights without the headlights on.

Rafale, thanks for sharing. Glad I'm keeping the factory OEM now.

Depends if whiteness or brightness are your priorities? I think. I think the Mtecs bright enough personally - but that's in the uk where daylight running lights are quite uncommon. They stand out by the very fact they're on.

Personally I much prefer the much whiter glow.

I think the MTECs or any whiter angel eye would make the main Xenon stand out and appear whiter when looking at the car at night if you know what I mean?

is brigtness really the most important factor here? I really dont like how th efactory bulbs are more yellow than the oem Headhlights. It almost seems like an after thought by not having the same colored bulbs for the halo as the regular headlights. i prefer the softer white / blue lght from the LEDs than the factory halos. Yes they are not quite a bright but totally cool.

Yeah, the LUX V4s are the ones you want. I was thinking about getting it, but decided not to. First of all, it's awfully expensive for a few LEDs ($265 + shipping). Secondly, at that price point, I'd expect a polished product. On OEM AE, when you turn them off/turn off the car, they will fade out slowly. In the LUX, they will change color (from white to really blue) and flicker. They are bright, but for $300 the flashing makes it look too aftermarket, not for me.

Take a look at the flashing here

Is that flashing simply due to the camera's frame rate? My LED halo lights (£55 ebay ones) flicker on camera/film but look fine and fade fine in real life.

Nope - There has been a discussion on how it could be the LEDs flashing very quickly to simulate the dimming of the stock halogens and the camera captures it that way, but LUX admits that it does indeed flicker and they can't get rid of it. It's a shame. They are the brightest LEDs you can get, and I would have jump ship even for $300 if it looked OEM.

I installed Alpine HID bulbs (its a wired kit, not PNP, but easy install). They're not LED but are very bright white and don't dim when the headlights are on. There's been a lot said about this if you search the forum member Falcon Flyer you'll find a side by side comparison he made of Alpine vs Lux. Alpine look way better.

That's bizarre as mine dim and they're cheapo's compared to the LUX.

Interesting I use the LUX and mine do not flicker at all. In fact they don't dim either. When I open the the car they light up and on locking they turn off nothing else. The only dimming I see is from the interior cabin lighting.
