Dealer diagnosed problem as bad plug and coil. Replaced both. Will pick it up in the morning. Glad they were able to find it as without the ESS tune it was not as perceptible.

Correction. CSr still has the issue. I made it a half block away but I knew immediately upon startup. Brought it right back for my loaner. Is there anyway catless downpipes could be causing the hesitation because of the O2 sensors?

Your issue is probably injectors. BMW had to replace all 6 with the new injectors that are now available.

My car seems ok now but I don't wanna risk getting stranded. On the other hand, that is some serious $ damage. Arrgh. |

Try adding 200ml of 2T oil to a full gas tank. I do it twice a year, it repels water/humidity from the fuel system and injectors and you can hear the engine run a bit smoother.

Right on the money. All injectors needed to be replaced. Car runs flawless again. Had the opportunity to sample a loaded X3. 35i. Color me impressed. Car was quick, we'll put together, and I loved the heads up display.
