Replace amplifier HiFi system possible?
Hi,
Last September I got my new Z4 (LCI 2013). Although I'm very happy with the Z4, I'm not with the audio system. I ordered option 0676 (HiFi system) but that was not a good choice afterwards. The sound is flat, especially the woofers. I personally think that the amplifier is not powerful enough. Question. Is it possible to replace the amplifier of the HiFi system (partnr. 65 12 9 312 444) with the amplifier of the Top-HiFi system or Logic7 (partnr. 65 12 9 283 736)? If so, how about the OEM connector? Are they for both the amplifiers the same? Another questions. If the replacement of the amplifier is possible, how about the volume control on the steering wheel and Equalizer setting iDrive? Thanks for the replies. |

You are not likely to get another factory application to work in our cars unfortuantely. I am not saying that is it impossible I am just saying that is would bemuch easier to replace the entire system, head unit, amps, speakers and wiring with aftermarket. the down side to this is you will lose your controls on the steering wheel. That is really themost frustrating part is that swaps are not that easy or comfortable.
