window auto-up no longer working
Just recently window one touch auto-up stopped working on both driver and passenger main windows. both windows function normally using the door controls other than one touch auto-up (double click up).
to be specific, when i double click up and release, the window will go up about 2 inches and then stop (instead of closing completely). if i single click up and hold, window will go all the way up just fine. this failure happens on both driver and passenger main windows. i have reset the car via disconnecting the battery for 24 hours. i have run through 3-4 different bmw window reset/relearn procedures, none have worked. can't see any error codes. happens when hardtop is up or down. any ideas? |

This is usually when the force required to close it is out of calibration - part of the anti-trap feature.
You said you tried "3-4 different bmw window reset/relearn procedures" These were where you try and hold the window up/down switch for a period of time? Another possibility is that the feature was somehow removed during a service visit when they updated some software? |
