New season just started last week-end.

Citroen, Lada, Chevrolet and Honda are providing the cars. Citroen, Lada en Honda are running a factory team.

Strong contenders are meeting again this year. Yvan Mueller is eager to wash away last season's bad luck, but Lopez is not going to make it easy this year either, he looks very strong again. Sebastien Loeb is getting accustomed to the game, and with his talent at the wheel, he looks like he'll be a serious contender for the year as well. Robb Huff is competing with the Lada car, which seems to be on the edge of being competitive this year, if you like a story of talent beating the odds, you may want to look at what this car does in his expert hands. If the Honda car gets better over the season, we may very well see Monteiro at the front lines a lot, he looks like he is in very good form.

The independent trophy is also full of interesting characters that are able to steal the spotlights from the frontrunners. Mischeliz was often running in front of the factory Hondas with his own. Benani has been full of promises for 2 seasons, he got a very competitive car this year, will he get a hot head ?

Lots of passing and action packed, short races is the recipe for WTCC. The two first races have been delivering big times. Lots of beautiful clean passes, lots of smart strategy, and also lots of contacts during not-so-clean passes.
