Backup Camera?

Has anyone installed a backup cam in their Z4?

Im going to get this one. Im just worried the license plate camera will be too low since our plate is on the lower part of the bumper rather than the trunk lid like the e9x.

Stoof, 2 years of using the installed parking sensors has gone pretty well for me. The one area the don't seem to cope with very well is down low, I have to be careful of high kerbs, etc. as they don't register.

On that basis it would seem to me that a low camera would actually be an ideal thing if you want one?

I agree.
If I could mount something on the bottom edge of the front bumper - it would be better than any rear mounted view (imo)

I had it installed a week after I got the Z4.

Love it

I got the Alekshop kit on the Z4, and the EAS VSM kit on my M3

I regret not getting parking assist when i ordered my car, and find judging distance when parking this car is difficult.

How hard is it to install this camera?

noooooooo

That camera won't work on the Z4

I had that camera on my e93 335i and i had to buy a new camera from Alekshop for the Z4.

Contact Aleks and tell him Sean with the e93 M3 and Z4 told you to contact him and that you want the same camera that he got for me. I forgot what it cost, $120 maybe? 140? I paid him cash for camera and labor together so I don't remember the cost of the camera

The camera you posted will not work with a Z4.

Also, the camera's angle is adjustable, so I can move it up or down. I just like this angle so I've kept it there

Alekshop seems to be the only one who has the camera that works with the Z4. Thus I would have to recommend Alexshop

On my previous e93 335i, i had the Alekshop kit and not i have the EAT kit on my e93 M3.

Identical in function. Both are amazing.
