Is it the End of the Nürburgring?

This may have been the beginning in 1935 .... photo below.

The ring is now in deep trouble. There is a link by Sabine Schmitz below she has issued a call for help to rescue the Nürburgring in Germany.

The long and short of it is (as reported on a German forum), the local area in the past was responsible for running the Nürburgring. Now some Financial fellows (with no money) and the Government got together making big promises and build some reticules amusement centre a large complex and a little town near the Nordschleife. Now it turns out there is no money.

If you plan to visit the Nürburgring sometime or even drive a few rounds on it it might be no more by the time you get there. Anyway, Sabine Schmitz has issued a call for help in this link here ....
