BMW Accessories Carbon Splitters on Deep Sea Blue
I'm tempted to order a set of carbon splitters to complete the front end look of my DSB z4. Only thing that is holding me however is the colour of my car. I saw the excellent result of the splitters on the Black z4. Does anyone have some pics of a Blue z4 with the splitters ? what do u think ? cheers

They look OK but BMW is asking $400 USD, so that's a little steep IMO.
They have only aesthetic value for 99.9 percent of Z4 drivers. They might provide a slight amount of front downforce for that 0.9 percent of drivers who routinely drive over 100 mph. |

Some people like 'em, but IMO, on the Z4 (e89) at least, if someone has some extra cash burning a hole in their pocket go ahead and pick up a pair for $800 USD. I know BMW doesn't have $600 in materials and labor making those things. They look pretty good on a few other cars that have the splitter running the full width of the fascia, and in those cases they might even have practical value.
It's amazing the amount money companies can get for performance parts. They don't even have to actually be performance parts, but have the appearance of and that's good enough. I was looking at some Brembo brake upgrades for the e89 Z4. Now Brembo brakes are no joke, but mind you the price just the front set of brakes, including the calipers, rotors, etc., was $7,000 USD, not including labor. These weren't even carbon fiber or even stainless steel, but simply drilled cast units. |

Better looking than .....
... better looking than mudflaps and thats about as much as i can say about them.
A useless waste of money imho. Concentrate on getting the right wheels and exterior/interior colour combination - far more important. Oh and buy the latest iPhone with the money you save avoiding these! |

thanks for the pics. I agree that they ruin the lines on the blue z4 and cost way too much. My colour combination is DSB with nappa white interior, 18 inch multispoke rims.

anyone has live pictures of them installed ? on their own car not from BMW literature ?
i am trying to see how they will look like on an Alpine White and if they would match the carbon design of the rear 3DDesign diffuser ? |

I don't like them on DSB, maybe black or AW.. Yet, I don't think I will have them on my Z4. Though had the splitters on my E93, but they are much better looking than the Z4 ones...
