A rental Crossfire I had did it with ease.
When in stop, pressing the brake pedal and keep pressed and then throtle it
would start spinning the rear wheels..

I dont get why the Z4 cant... (from a complete stop)
In the spring I will spin (smoke) the hell out off the RFT before I mount good tires

Yep, I understood what you mean't, and no I still wouldn't do it

As for overriding the 'safety feature' of the brake override, I don't think you can, though your dealer may know.

From what I understood

1) The crossfire does not have brake override.
2) I need to disable brake override on my Z, how??

PS: In Greece the roads are like glass, you can do it without harming your precious tires :P
If the car could dot it stock, I bet 99% of all you hating hairdressers (http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...dressers%20car) , would do it on a daily basis in each and every traffic light.
We have glass roads also in North America one just needs to go to the Mohave Desert ... must have something to do with the high temperatures the road there is like glass super smooth.

The original post just reenforces why it is a bad idea never ever to purchase a rental car.

I could "light em up" at will in my Z3 and my M3 (just before replacing the tires ) I didn't stand on the brake, I just dumped the clutch and let er drift. The key word there is "clutch" and you aint got one if you have a DCT. The new Z's are too advanced to let you do "silly" things easily, you'd be better off trashing a rental .....

Hence the term " Drive it like a Rental Car"....

Also, what kind of tires do you use....I need to buy stock in that company..

Have fun, stay out of trouble...

Actually, I believe this a standard accessory for the Crossfire... the goal here is to generate enough tire smoke as to hide how hideously ugly it is.

Just upgrade your Differential with a Quiafe or Wavetrack and you will be able to burn rubber and drift at will on your DCT car.

No.
The right hand pedal has a special setting that also launches the car. You just press it, hard and fast.
