Speakers : rainbow, focal or dls
Give me your views on the 3-way's offered by the above. I believe you guys in europe have more exposure to these particular brands than us in the states.
in particular: focal 165vr3, dls iridium 6.3 (or reference 6.3) and finally rainbow slc 365 (or slc 365 kick). |

I think speaker choice is very personal and subjective. having personally audited some Team Pioneer competition setups, I went for a 10k DLS 3 way setup with pioneer DEX-P99RS headunit as I was gunning for SQ.
Bad mistake. The sound reproduction in our cars or most roadsters will never come close to car with good sound accoustics. The closest will be when the Zed is stationery (not even with engine on) With the top down and in motion, you can throw out all SQ and sound staging. Dont mean to discourage you, but just to warn you not to set your expectations too high. if you are keen, my old thread is here http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=302895 Back to your question, if given a choice I will go for Focal as i feel their midbass might suit my listening more. |
