Hard to say conclusively with so few z435 on this forum.
My 2012 had the hpfp and all injectors replaced at 16k miles. It was a dec 2011 build so may have come from the factory with old versions of the parts. |

I bought mine brand new a few months ago and so far I have had no problems. I only have 1700 miles on it so I can not speak for long term. I did go in for a map update for the idrive but other then that I am problem free.

You will hear from a lot of owners about the troubles they've had. Personally, I've had only a few minor things happen over my 3 years of ownership.
The nature of Internet forums is that they wouldn't exist without people venting about their car problems. Nobody starts a thread by announcing they have trouble-free ownership. So take what you hear with a grain of salt in that it may not be a true representative sample.

I think as long as you get a 2012 built past May 2012, you are probably ok concerning anything major. Like jparnes1 pointed out, the only gripes seem to be creaking from roof (well, it's a convertible after all) and maybe the retractable screen as well as some issues with the automatic headlines. |

Take it for what it is, I have had the same things replaced, but since I was out-of-warranty and now at 127,000km/79,000miles and 4.5 years, I had to pay $3K+ for the injectors, that being the only thing out-of-pocket. Not sure if that's acceptable for my mileage/years used.
