Speed limiter over ride
Does anyone know of a tuner or ?? That can over ride the 130mph speed limiter on a 3.0 2010 Z4? Going to Sebring and probably will need to be able to go faster on long straights. Would like to have 3.5 150mph limiter.

I think Burger offers something for the na motors. I saw it in the Bavauto catalog.

I have a 2011 30i. The speed limiter is set to 155 mph if you have sport package.

That's what I have. Coding the speed limiter is not an option.

It's set in the DME. Carly isn't capable of editing the DME.
Depending on the year of your car you can use an OpenFlash tablet to code the DME and change the limiter. I think your car is an MSV80, which means it will work. http://procedetuning.com/328i/OFT/index.html There was a guy on here who edited his own MSV70 car, I don't think his method worked on the MSV80 but it was a while since I read the thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1035058 Your best bet would be to find a local tuner and ask for the speed limit to be removed, that will be cheaper than the OpenFlash tablet. The problem is that this could be overwritten at the dealer if you ever go for a software update. |
