securing storage items?

I'm wondering if someone has sourced something that keeps groceries and other odd items secure in the trunk. The existing 2 rubber things aren't that usable in tying things down. Is there an aftermkt net or something like that?

SOrry, cant help you there.
With my car, groceries enter at their own risk...

Your poor trunk must have all these nicks and dents.

BMW has a anti-slip mat that it custom-fitted in the trunk or boot. I guess you can ask for paper bags as they won't move as much...

Granted, there are not much on the BMW site for cargo accessories. But, this link has a bit more like the cargo boxes.

I was hoping for something more securing, like a net system, anchored to the trunk's floor?

BMW had one for the previous gen Z4 from 2002-2008, I don't know if we have tie-downs for the nets though...
http://bmw.dealerfit.com/store/bmw-z...1389_15618.php

Someone did a custom net mounts in a X5. But, this requires custom installation...

Or you could try this...

I got one similar to this from Target. Mine has little gripers the bottom to keep it from slipping around in the trunk. Just check that it fits.

Somehow I don't think that "Grocery storage" was high on the design priority list when they built these cars ....

Probably not. They're designed to haul a statuesque blonde, but you store that in the passenger seat, not the trunk...

I've seen that CSI show. Apparently the trunk is for when you need to dump the body...
