whirly noise when a/c on
Any of you notice a whirly/whining noise when the ac is on? i notice it most when rpm's are below 3000. if i switch off ac, whirl goes away.
no need to drive the car, you can turn on car and leave in park, turn ac on, push on gas pedal and hear whirl, turn of ac and whirl goes away. am i the only one? |

I do have what sounds like the same phenomenon. It was not there when I picked up the car aobut 1200 miles ago but has recently raised its head. Everything works fine, it is not loud so I decided to just leave it be until I take the car in for service or if it fails prior to that.

Oh yes, have that same problem since the beginning! My car is at present been with the dealer for the entire week now about that.
The other related problem is that when the temperature goes above 25 degrees Celsius, there is high pitched whinning comming from the compressor, belt area betwen 4500rpm and 5500rpm. Switch the compressor off and it's gone immediately. Really irratating! So far the can't seem to find the issue. COmpressor have been replaced. I believe the issue lies in the V-belt tension, tensioners or tensioner pulleys. Will have to see what the have to dish up this afternoon for me. |

can't say.
Picked the car up yesterday back from the dealer. All they could do is to send a sound clip of the noise off to the factory waiting for further instructions apparently. Keep me updated please on your findings also. |
