Wheel hubs???

I have a question about the wheel hubs on my Z4 35i. In the front it almost looks like there is an aluminium cover over the hubs but in the back there doesn't appear to be this cover. I bought my car used, should the back hubs have some sort of cover as well? I noticed this washing the car today. Thanks (forgive me if this is a stupid question).

The front "cover" is not a cover, it's the central mounting point of the rotor, which is riveted the the "cover" which bolts to the wheel mounting pad.

Yes that is what I am referring to. So it is not supposed to be on the back As well I suppose?

PS. I would be really upset if someone stole the center wheel cap like in the link above!
