BMW Injector Warranty Extension

E89 Z4 Model Years 2010 and 2011
(Produced 8/31/2009 - 2/25/2011)

Have a warranty extension (not a recall) for the fuel injectors to 10 years/120,000 miles.

The warranty will cover diagnosis, parts and labor. At a BMW shop this is a $2,000 plus service. I have read quotes from others stating almost $3,000!

If you are able to do you your own work, you can still purchase the injectors yourself and get reimbursed.

Enter your VIN here to confirm qualification and to submit for reimbursement.

http://bmw-rp.com

This applies to other models with the N54 engine as well so enter any VIN you have to check.

Beware! The web site has a pretty bad behavior when checking multiple VINs where it says you qualify when you in fact may not. Close the web browser between each VIN check then call the number and ask the rep on the phone and they check nice and quick with no hassles.

They don't need any explanations and don't care. Just ask about the VIN. I suspect this is just a fulfillment organization contracted to take care of these re-imbursements and have no reason to try and deny any claims or have an "approval" process.

Can you give a little background on this issue? Or did I miss a thread where this was discussed?

I'm trying to read between some lines here....
