Boxster spyder. Bought it in April and just had a Fabspeed exhaust added last week (took 4 months to get it as I ordered as soon as I bought the car). The exhaust is quit a work of art and the car is fantastic. I drive it to/from office almost every day in the summer.

Sure......um...better looking ( the back and side of the Cayenne look like a Hyundai to me), faster, incredible handling, stealthy (nobody other than car people can tell it's anything other than a typical X5), $30-50k cheaper and stronger resale value, and my local BMW dealer service is impeccable and unmatched.
I tend to change cars frequently, but the X5M will be with me for a long, long time Hope that helps |

Great car on a track or twisty road. Too compromised to live with as a DD. IMHO. ANd bloody expensive compared to the Z4. (Yes, my arse was also too big, and my shouders, and my height) Lucky I have found my perfect car in the Z.

Agreed the spyder is NOT a daily driver. Top doesn't take more than 2 minutes to install after you have done it 3-4 times though. The spyder is priced very close to the Z4. My Z4 was $69 and change, the spyder MSRP was $72-ish. Both are great cars for what they were designed to do.

By page five of a thread I think it would be very hard to stay exactly on topic. Over here - the price difference between a fully loaded Z4 35is and an equally optioned Spyder is close to $40k (thats with adding the extended leather interior and bigger wheels, premuim sound, etc). Thats $155K to over $190K AUD for a spyder. And you have to get out of the spyder to put the tent up. I laughed out loud watching Captain Slow try it on Top Gear in the rain. My posts remain and I am unashamed.

A Z4 for $900 is pretty damn steep! What's the MSRP of your car? When did you take delivery?
A base Carrera probably leases for ~$1200 + tax for 36 months and 10K miles/yr.
