After trying the Halo Automotive Platinum Whites (the first picture in the thread) then LED's from E92-Lighting.com
http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...0_E82-5-0.html

(they didn't fit into the housing on my 2011 e89) I went back to a modified halogen bulb - the MTEC Cosmo Blue. While not perfect, they are better than the Halo's and stock from a whiteness perspective. The picture shows one side done.

So I'm going to run with these until a better LED solution is available.

I'm taking delivery of my Z4 35is in a few weeks and the first order of business is swapping out the yellow halos. I've noticed a lot of LED H8 bulbs on the market recently, but the only ones that specifically say they're compatible with the E89 are from vendors I've never heard of. The ones that ARE from vendors I know (Umnitza, LUX, etc.) either don't mention the E89 or say their bulbs require a modification to the headlight assembly (which I'm not doing).

Anyone have any luck finding a good set of bright white LED halo bulbs that are daylight visible and don't throw error codes?

I put in the Alpine 6000k HID bulbs... super bright and super white.
I'm very happy with them.

Here's a front shot, while on martha's vineyard. Very bright sunlight, and can still see the DRL's very clearly.

Here's a side-by-side from the front view. Note that they are much brighter than the stock oem. (before I got my new vanity plate)

With the LUX H8 V3 angel eyes we have recently made a chance and we we expect that they are now 100% plug and play with no modifications. If anyone is interested in testing this out for me please send me a PM

I'm new on here and can't PM but I'd be interested. At the very least I'd be interested in finding out the results.

@ LUX, my car is in transit and won't be here until the end of the month. Has anyone tried the modifed bulbs yet see if they no longer need the tabs snipped in the headlight assembly?

We found a tester, we should have an update within a few days, maybe a week.
