I finished building this vintage RC airplane from a pile of balsa just last month.

Every time that I built one of those planes back in the day, it would lawn dart into the ground and revert to a pile of balsa wood and MonoKote.....

The airplane is a vintage design from the late '60's to early '70's. The original kit is no longer available, but a manufacturer in Arkansas reproduces the kit, along with dozens of other vintage RC airplane kits. It took me 6 months to build it.

Does it annoy you that the tire in the back doesn't match what is on the wheels? Nice restoration though!

The old 9.6V. Brings back memories! Back in the "old days", like, 1985, we didnt have proper chargers. Or at least not ones my family could afford. Charging was done by a pair of alligator clips to the car battery on Dad's Ford LTD station wagon. I knew nothing of voltage at the time and didnt know the positive charging cable was a resistor wire that cut the voltage from 12 volts to 9.6, so the length was crucial. I cut it down for some reason I cant remember and ended up sending more than 9.6 volts to the battery pack. Came back 15 minutes later to check on my charge and found a melted battery pack on the front fender of dad's car. He was none too happy!

haha thanks dude! i probably should lol the wife and i was talking and i was telling her how much money we saved in labor if i was to hire a contractor. crazy to figure out the #'s and realize a lot of these projects a contractor would charge you almost 10x more in labor than the actual materials

Surprised you didnt put storage under there. I guess you do have storage already to the right though. But still, more storage is always good. I tend to overcomplicate projects...I'll see my way out now...
Oh, nice work as always and I second the idea that you need your own home improvement show! |

does your local plumbing code require a drainage height for the washing machine ? ''overflow level''. At least the canidian one wont allow to raise the machine with a fixed structure without moving up the drainage.

Now, if you've raised the machine on a plinth of say 12", the drain box needs to either have already been at 42" H, or will need to be raised, accordingly. If not, you risk siphoning occurring as the machine cycles. -Mark in St. Louis |
