black on black is never wrong. I think you need the pdc and when you sell it I think it is a must have. automatic aircon is nice but they look the same. manuel vs automatic hasent been a question for me. i hope i never need to have an automatic car. my e-92 325D i had with manuell and i could had a 330D with automatic for the same amount of money. the 330D had better stero but had gone 3000km the 325 was new. I went for the 325.

I don't like the pure white design (but would have loved a "pure black").
Regarding the alcantara: It is only the shoulder area of the seats and if you see it in real life it looks ok. It is really not that much of a problem. But the white color is |

I'm from Greece and I have the options list in my hands. But I don't know what is "Ventilation". What does it means in simple words, because I don't know this word in English. So if you tell me what it means, I can answer.

Heated front seats Ventilation front seats Heated seats is clear. Seat ventilation means that in the summer the seat can be cooled (to prevent you from sweating in the leather seat). As far as I know neither the Z4 nor the SLK have this option. From BMW you can have seat ventilation in the 5 or 6 series (with the comfort seats). From Mercedes I know for sure that the SL offers this. I am just confused by unicenter mentioning seat ventilation as this is an extra I would order immediately! |

Thanks! I understand now...
The answer is no, there isn't such an option like this for the new Z4. I ordered a car and I have the options list for Greece and I'm sure that there isn't available a system like this. The only thing that the Z4 have, is that BMW uses a special leather that is more effective to sun, and it is standard to all the Z4's. BMW also uses this kind of leather to many cars like as example 3 series cabrio. I hope that I helped you |

Also in the Greek option list there aren't options like Storage Package, Aluminioum package and Crome package. Maybe there are standard. Also the Xenon is standard.

So your options are basically the same as everywhere in Europe. Either "unicenter" is a show-off and has not really ordered an E89 (see also your comments on his "delivery date") or he got the options list wrong... I also could not believe that BMW would make such an option available to a relatively small market. Thanks again for the clarification. |

We have a storage package in Switzerland. It contains the cup holders in the center console, the net behind the seats, coat hooks in the rollbars and some other stuff. Maybe this is standard in the Greek market and is therefore not mentioned on your options list. Price in Switzerland is roughly 200 €. I can only assume that aluminium package means the aluminium interior. Chrome package we do NOT have in Switzerland. If I remember correctly somebody from Norway mentioned a chrome package before. I am bit confused about this. Maybe they mean the chrome exterior (the BMW grill) that comes standard with the 35i (but cannot be ordered with the 23i and 30i - unless you go in the after-market options). |

Yes, you're right, I read the catalogue better and I saw that the storage package is standard in Greece.
For the BMW grill, it is fantastic but only for the 35i, what a pitty there isn't such an option for the 23i... |

On the Swiss BMW site they have already published the after market options catalog. They offer the black grill for about 100 €. If you really want the chrome grill just ask your dealer to replace it. I am sure he will be able to order the other grill as a spare part. I have ordered my 23i in orion silver and I feel more happy with the black grill. The one thing I change is the cover of the roll bars which comes in "silver/chrome" as standard. As this is very close to the orion silver exterior (with roof down) it just looks stupid together. I have asked my dealer to paint the cover in orion silver (to fit the exterior) and he offered to do this free of charge |

For me any car looks good in black and this goes also for the Z4, so for those who ordered it in black be assured that it looks fabulous. But because my last three cars were all in black I felt the need to go for another color and went for blue which is for me the second best color for this model. I saw a blue one in open air and it pleases me a lot more than any of the snapshots I saw on the internet. Concerning the wheels and tires my dealer will change the original tires for snowtires and for the rest of the year I still have my beautiful BBS CH wheels (8,5 x 19 front, 9,5 x 19 rear) I'll probably go for the silver/chrome kidnies and also change the air-intakes. They'll be silver (as for the 35i) or the beasle will be painted blue (same color as the car of course), we'll see... Can't wait... Grtz Ramius Last edited by GunSpeed; 04-14-2009 at 12:41 AM.. |
