After-market Shocks
anyone make aftermarket shocks?
i know eibach and h&r have springs out, but i havent seen any shock upgrades. just springs and full coilovers. |

Forgive my ignorance but isn't a shock AKA a strut?? And isn't a strut part of a coilover package? and wouldn't you have to change both if you wanted to change one? In other words you will damage your springs if you just change the strut and you will damage the strut if you just change the springs. In other words a aftermarket shock exists

you can swap out one without doing the other and not damage anything. several people on this site have springs and did not upgrade struts at the same time. i ran eibach springs on stock struts on my audi for 7 years with no problems. the worse thing that can happen if you go too low is blow out your stock struts over time. but that typically only really happens on slammed hondas with cut springs. a less than 1in drop wont hurt anything. |
