Road Noise or something else ?

Hey folks - now have 4000 miles on new 2009 Z4 30 and have waited till now to ask.

Here in the Boston area, we have a number of newly paved highways and I've noticed at 80+MPH I'm getting a reasonable amount of "road noise" from the back of the car. Could the trunk (boot) resonate more than my previous car (2007 335i coupe)? Its a noticeable drone that seem like it could instead be transmission or gearbox ?

Not sure I want the mechanics taking to 80 !

i've kinda noticed this too...i think this car could have benefited from more sound deadening material. I know when it comes to roadsters people tend to want to hear the engine sound, but I guess with this car I'd like it to roar when the top is down and be as quiet as a library with the top up. to me a quiet car feels more like a solid, sturdier car ya know?
