hydraulic top line is busted.
I recently put the top up and got hydraulic fluid all over the passenger seat. This was after a repair of electrical issue on the same side of the car. Shop working on the electrical problem told me it's because of the entire harness is rubbing against the convertible arm when the top goes up and down. Anyone knows if the hydraulic lines are a problem on 2011 models?
The shop where I took the car gave me three options. 1. Replace the entire electrical/hydraulic harness ($1,200 just for the harness) +10 hrs of labor 2. Replace the busted line ($200 for the line) + 5 hrs of labor 3. replace the broken piece of hydraulic line ($80 for a pair) + 2 hrs of labor (https://cabriolethydraulics.com/our-...pair-couplers/) Labor is at $110. Any suggestions? |

I had a similar issue on my 2012 3.5is.... although my extended warranty covered it. I think there is a thread on here [if i recall] of someone either doing the work themselves or walking through how they saved $ fixing this issue.
Best luck and sorry that happened to you! |

Thank you. I'm thinking about just buying the harness and doing it myself later. For right now I'll replace the broken section. ZFEST is coming.
