Funny...I always used to say digital vs analog when I drove an F8X and back to the E9X. But this is taking it even more extreme!

There is really nothing analog about the CSL either though.
I honestly don't know which I would prefer to live with. Track only, definitely the CSL, everyday stuff, I may lean towards the M4. The interior of the CSL though, oiy. Needs a manual though. |

It's a track only single purpose car. In my fantasy I own a condo next to the Nurburgring and have a CSL in the front. In the real world I live in the DC area and have an M3 in front of the house.

Smg is junk, e46 tech is beyond outdated and the CSL is an extremely rough car. Outsanding for all out track duty but I'll take the modern M4 any day.

sitting in a car and NOT having to select "comfort, sport, sport plus" and hearing the actual sound coming out of the car AUTOMATICALLY makes it a way more analog experience than the fancy supercomputers they are selling today.

I have a soft spot for the E46 M3 CSL as I owned one (not CSL). But as mentioned before, if you could only have 1, in todays world, at this stage of my "real life", I'll stick to the new M3/M4. If I could have a second car tho, I'll have the CSL for a fun car and I could care less if I drove any other older but reliable car as a daily

Doesn't even have to be CSL.
Google M3 CSL bumper: https://www.google.com/search?q=e46+...w=1920&bih=921 Every single one looks badass! |

As much as I respect the CSL and how impressive it was back then, seeing it here with the M4 does take away a bit of the allure. No doubt I'd rather have the M4 today. It's still cool though.
