When I first saw the sticker, I thought to myself nothing seemed peculiar. My 35i had a sticker of 70k, so a 35is being 75k seemed fair… until I got to the last picture.
Like what everyone else said, dealer trying to make a quick $6k. As stated above, VBO came back with nothing but my thought is "something black out." Notice the power coated wheels, BMW Performance kidney and black mirror caps. Worth $1k max, $2k with 150% dealer mark-up. $5,000 is just I don't even see this "hand-painted" pin stripes and anything with a dealer fee just sounds like a bargaining chip on their part. I can see why the salesperson in the first pic is laughing so hard and doing a little dance. Probably just ripped someone off. Minus the ugly Vista sticker on the rear, beautiful car though! |

Yep a set of full priced wheels and tires / black kidney grills and blacked out mirrors.
I like also how they've left the charge on for the 19" wheel option and then sold you another pair of wheels at a premium. If the blacked out stuff was something you wanted anyway then cool - but you better be ready to negotiate cause that pricing is ridiculous. |

It's hard to say for sure from the quality of the picture but FWIW it seems like those are the stock 326M wheels (the $1200 upgrade) and they were just powder coated black. Still a scam, but give the dealer some credit for trying :roll eyes:
Seriously though, can someone point out what these "pinstripes" are because I've stared at that picture for like 5 minutes and I can't seem to find anything out of the ordinary. |

save over 20 K - and buy a 35i,
Just my opinion, the black wheels are UGLY - just looks like a lot of Brake Dust ! New brake shoes in the 2014 models do not create much if any brake dust, I know - I had a 2009 - 35i and now a 2014 - 35i Run away as fast as you can from that stupid deal ! |

The first thing I would do is tell them to remove all the dealer options.
I would tell them how bad they ruined a lovely car by hand painting crap on it. Oh and if I'm paying 5k for wheels, mirror covers and grilles, I would ask where are the stock parts.... And as for dealer fee, when I talk to a dealer and they say they have a dealer fee or a document fee I let them know I have a customer fee and a signing fee equal to theres..... |

LOL, what does buying new have anything to do w/ it? If one can afford it, of course new>>>>>old/used.
Anyway, the dealer should reimburse the would-be buyer for that nasty 'VISTA' sticker on the back. |

I hate when they put those stupid stickers on there. They usually peel right off. Told my last salesman, no offense but please remove your name off MY car.

While this is obviously a "juiced" sticker, I am still shocked by new car prices today. Was looking at a M235 while picking up a part for my Z4, and it stickered for $52K. That's crazy, considering a few years ago, that money got you an M3.

Gotta love inflation... For what it's worth a recent automobile mag article adjusted the MSRPs for inflation and that meant the original E30 M3 was the equivalent of $61k in today's dollars.
Another thing to consider is that $55k E90 M3 was STRIPPED down. No power or memory for the seats, cloth seating surfaces, no screen etc etc Now the F80 M3 includes seat memory, navigation and other things that were option on the E9X M3 , so the price is pretty comparable |

I purchased my loaded, 09 35i in Sept 12 with 26.5K on the clock. The Z was 3 years 3 months old. I paid less than 1/2 of what the ORIGINAL Sticker (PURCHASE PRICE??) of the 1st owner of $69,780.
With this dealer trying to take some poor sucker for an extra $6K, the buyer will lose $10K in immediate depreciation PLUS the dealer bloated $6K in the 1st mile off the lot. As stated above- RUN and RUN fast TO a CPO Dealer Car and enjoy some elses depreciation loss. Look at this LOADED but pre-Owned (used) 2014, 3412 mile old 35IS for $15K less. Dealer's Price: $65,988 Location: Wayne, NJ Mileage: 3,412 miles Transmission: Automatic Exterior Color: Melbourne Red Metallic Interior Color: Coral Red VIN: WBALM1C58EE634081 Stock #: 9980D Major Options: Technology Package, Leather Seats, Navigation System, Aluminum Wheels, Climate Package
