Costco--$70 off all sets of Michelin Tires
I just bought 4 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires for my 28i for $756 out the door, including all taxes, fees and installation. These are 225/45/17 size. I couldn't be happier, as I've read how much of a difference they make
I even ordered online and it automatically deducted the $70. |

It's a huge improvement over the RFT.
Personally prefer America's Tire as they offer insurance and price match. Too bad I didn't see it when I got my PSS last month. |

They really transform the Z4, it's a shame the 19" PSS are so much more expensive.

Do you need a Costco membership?

TireRack.
They are selling Michelin PSS (same spec, 225/45/17) for $668. Right now, they have a rebate ($70 Mastercard prepaid card) so that comes to $598. With tax + shipping, it comes out to under $700. Installation at a recommended shop is around $70 with all fees (disposal, TPMS, etc.) - had it done yesterday on my other car at Firestone. So, same price as OP, but for those without a Costco membership or aren't near a Costco since TireRack ships and have installers everywhere. |

Oh wait a second, these are 17". I misread and thought they were 19". Nevermind :P My last set of PSS (18") I got from Tire Rack and got them installed locally.

Consider yourself lucky. Quote from BMW China yesterday:
USD 2334 for 4 new 18" run-flats Part 85452536580 (Bridgestone Potenza RE 050 A RFT) Part 85452536362 (Bridgestone Potenza RE 050 A RFT) But I wonder why they did not quote the latest gen RFT... These RFT are listed for the M135i Bridgestone Potenza S 001 RFT 225/40R18 88Y Bridgestone Potenza S 001 RFT 245/35R18 88Y Continental SportContact 5 SSR 225/40R18 88Y Continental SportContact 5 SSR 245/35R18 88Y Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 ROF 225/40R18 88Y Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 ROF 245/35R18 88Y Pirelli P Zero r-f 225/40R18 88Y Pirelli P Zero r-f 245/35R18 88Y Last edited by Asbjorn; 02-03-2013 at 10:55 PM.. |

Thoughts on Installation
I have a 2010 30i with 14K mi in need of new tires. Was thinking of COSTCO. Anyone care to comment about their installation experience using COSTCO tire centers and TPMs. I am new to TPMs. Can COSTCO do the work without triggering some other failure that would cause me to have to take the car back to the dealership for some kind of fault light that would require a computer/software reset? I am not real happy with dealer service and would prefer not to have to take car to them for tires since I think I can get tires cheaper and with better service other places. I will probably go with RFTs from Michelin but am willing to hear any pros and cons. Thanks...

rather than let a local tire shop change my wheels and rims, I had my BMW dealer do it- if they make a mistake - they fix it - they don't say Whoops ! |
