2013 Rear End Redesigned

I stopped by my BMW dealer a couple of days ago and noticed that they had 3 2013 Z4's on the lot. Right away I noticed the redesigned rear end. On all 3 cars the lower part of the rear bumper was painted a dark gray. In my opinion, it looked terrible. Looked really bad on the red car.
Has anyone seen this yet?

Yes the rear difuser is gray on the new zed 4. I have mxed emotions on this but like that it is a two piece part now instead of one which makes for easrier swap out for more aerodynamic versions. I am sure you can have them painted though if you are not liking the look.

I like the contrast color of the rear diffuser.

Seriously?

That's the M sport bumper vs the standard bumper on the SE. It's body colour plus a grey insert on the 35is and all grey on any model M sport.

It's all the same colour without insert on the non M sport (SE). Been like this since the first e89, at least in the UK.

I agree, it has not been redesigned. Its just the M-sport vs non-M-sport.
I remember seeing some camo on the rear lights, but I dont see any difference there either...

tail lights in Hancook tire commercial

Anyone seen the Hankook Tire commercial with the AW 35i? The badging is all edited off (hood, trunk, wheel inserts, sdrive) but interesting addition of the body color split in the rear tail lights at 14 secs and 20 secs in the video.

These are just little changes a car manufacturer will do to a vehicle as it approaches the end of it's model run, just to try to keep interest going until the new generation is released.
