That's not promising...both C&D and now IL have reported similar 0-60 times that are slower than BMW's normally conservative estimates. Maybe these testers had the AC blasting while conducting these runs.

I wonder what other changes were made to the Z4 for 2012.
I can say without a doubt in my mind that the brake pedal on our car is anything but ultra-firm with a short travel as described above.

C&D did not test drive the car. All they said was that they think the BMW estimated time of 5.6 was a bit optimistic so they guessed at 5.8.
Any number of variables can alter the time. If Inside Line ran a 5.8 on that day in those conditions with that specific car, then it is reasonable to assume that other tests could fall anywhere between 5.4 - 6.0. We won't know for sure until others provide actual test results. Even the 35i has been tested between 4.3 - 4.8, a half second range.
