Wheels & Color Dilemma
I am "this close" to ordering a Z4. My biggest two stumbling blocks are color and wheel choice. I really would prefer the M-Sport Pkg, but the only color that is close to what I want is melbourne red. I've not seen a Z4 in the flesh in that color, but have seen an M3 and in the sunlight it really has an orange tinge to it... I'm just not sure if I could like that.
I really do like crimson red, but only the standard sport package is available with that. Not so terrible a problem (although I love the M steering wheel). So I'm sort of torn on that color difference, knowing the sport pkg differences. Then - there's the wheel choice. The standard sport pkg = style 293. Nice wheels, but to me - they're not as nice as the 325-M wheels which, of course, are part of the M-Sport pkg. So on the wheel issue, I'm wondering this: Can I get the 325-M wheels instead of the 293 style if the standard sport pkg is chosen? Anyone know how the price difference would work on that? Would I just pay a price difference, or would I be stuck with paying full price on the 325-M wheels? (they're both the same size) Regarding color - CR vs MR... I'm kinda out of luck without seeing one in person and there aren't any around right now. (Quality pics help, but aren't the same) Thoughts on wheels and/or color? Those of you who have the style 293's -- are you happy with them? I know this is mostly a matter of personal choice, but would appreciate other insights. Thanks Doug |

Get Msport, better front/rear bumpers, better wheels, better interior pieces, better suspension. Its a no brainer IMO

If you're not happy with the available color choices then go with a color from the individual program. It'll cost you a pretty penny, but you'll be guaranteed to be the only one in your area driving around with that color. How bout some Barbera Red:

Love my 293s, but I have a pressure washer. I have been looking to get some dedicated track wheel/tire setup and surprised how light the 293s are. Not much out there with a considerable difference.
