Climate Control Button Removal

Does anybody have a method for replacing the climate control buttons short of removing that part of the dash and doing it from the back??

Nothing from me. It's the only way to remove that I know of

I was hoping it wasn't, I replaced others by just popping them off, but the climate buttons have that silver ring around them that prevents me from doing that

I thought I could do the same with the S/S button, but no go!
