As I said before, the car has many outstanding qualities. However, the engine/exhaust sound is just not one of them. I suppose Akrapovic can remedy that problem.

Yea I hate to agree with you but you're right regarding the sound. Akra should fix this.

I still believe even though I havent had a chance behind the wheel that the engine will be great.

As a performer, the motor will undoubtedly satisfy. The gigantic increase in torque makes this car so much more appealing as a daily driver/weekend road course dual threat.

It should be interesting to see how the competition will respond. The M3's competitors have their work cut out for them.

BTW, thanks for posting the video. He does a very solid job with his reviews.

Just get one, we have great advice to give about paints, and all other irrelevant things!

Haha! After seeing those Michelins vaporized on command, I must say I'm tempted now more than ever. I'm already thinking Silverstone or Mineral White w/ Sakhir. Have to wait to see what the 2015 C63 holds first though.

The competition is now better than ever. As a result, we the consumers win.

Don't wait, build a bigger garage!
That video did make sure I understand the urgency of finding myself a good tire dealer. The one I have, I left back home, and he is the only person in the world to whom I send a Christmas card. Apparently I need the discounts soon more than ever.

What about the steering?

The electromechanical steering is a HUGE change and all he has to say is "the steering is lovely" and "I love the steering".

Lets go into some detail, WHY do you love the steering? Is it better than the old? Is it not better than the old but surpasses your expectations? "The steering is lovely". I mean, when Chris Harris reviewed the 991 911 he had a lot to say about the new electronic steering. He went on saying how he thought it felt and also compared it to the old hydraulic method in the 997 MK2 and generations before that.

I do agree with others about the exhaust note sounding meh. It sounds to me like they're trying to copy the E9x M3 V8

As much as I think that the new M3 is an amazing car...it would mean I would have to trade in my current e92 M3 for it and something about giving away that screaming V8 just makes me sad

Yup. Just took my e93 across skyline, down alpine, down and up hwy 1 and man I love hearing that v8 - I've got the ACM mod and to me it's perfect.

That said, I've listened to lots of videos of the M4 with some amplified PSB headphones ... yes I can hear the "flat" that people are talking about but to my ear it sounds pretty good. Not stellar like the e9x, but really good.

I was cross shopping the slk55 which sounds like this and I have to say ... I'm willing to trade off the sound
