We are enthusiats who would notice and complain if issues. The internet makes the failures seem more common.

Yes many HPFP have failed. But they all don't fail, and those who don't have issues don't complain so the forum distorts the problems scope.
To those who had problems or many problems, you have my sympathy.
I would not change.

I agree completely that we get a distorted view on these forums. However, the problem was significant enough for BMW to issue a recall and extend the warranty on the HPFP to 100,000 miles. Why keep a part that has a greater likelihood of failing when you can get a new one that nobody has had a problem with?
