What is amazing to me is that the E89 is such a better driving car. I have had both a 2003 and a 2009, similarly equipped, 3.0i and 6m/t. I also think the E89 is a better looking car, but sales are still way down.

e89 is substantially more expensive than the e85, and also has no M-version. A 35iS costs more than an M3 coupe and very close convertible and you have a recipe for bad sales figures. And finally the prices. If I had more common sense I would pick up a M3vert over the 35iS in the garage but such is life.

Its very hard to justify the price compared to the competition that are playing on the next level up and are either near your price point or far below. IF they did make a z4m it would be a v8 costing what 80K? 80k is 6series money.
