I selected the polished unit with factory c-clips.
Install is easy. Easier than 335i due to more room inside our bumper cover for the unit eliminates required trimming demonstrated in the install video on HPF website. Show care for seals on the factory plumbing when you insert into the receiving couplings. I wiped some oil onto the intercooler couplings to assist/assure connection step didn't foul that seal integrity. Factory c-clips at that interface are idiot proof only if you visually confirm the plumbing is seated into the IC coupling before engaging the c-clip. If you don't hold boost, the only hassle will be dropping the undercarriage tray again, 666 fasteners to pull, and resetting the seat correct. Have no fear... except for the quality of your jackstands and safety when groveling under a car.
You will Love the Power.
