In congested traffic I could always feel a slight judder in D1, moving from rest. Each time I pulled forward, there was a wobble. It also did it in R. It took many visits to the dealer to demonstrate it but they eventually felt it themselves and BMW UK told them simply to replace the entire DCT so that they could examine my original DCT. So that's what happened. It wasn't a failed unit or problematic, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and felt it shouldn't do it. Anyhow the new DCT is very smooth and the issue is gone.
