May not be of help but I had a problem with my windows.
Operating the switches in the door became intermittent. Sometimes I would thump the arm rest and they would work. Then one day stopped working, driver window stuck down.
I pressed the open roof switch and all windows went down but wouldn't go up with roof close switch.
Finally I had to strip the door card out and unplugged the window switch and sprayed contact cleaner and refitted. No problem since.
I wondered at the time if there is a bad contact there, weather this would affect the operation of the roof. I'm trying to remember if it stopped the roof movement.
