My 2011 35i has M-sport and heated seats and steering wheel. The first question is whether the wiring harness already exists for the heated wheel and/or seats. I don't know if the harness is different but one way to figure that out might be to find out if the fuse box has those terminals wired (obviously with no fuse in place).
But your best bet would be to hit an E90 (3-series) forum and see if anyone has had the same questions and done a comparison. M-sport doesn't matter, IMHO. I think the question is, has anyone with an E90 figured out how to retrofit heated steering to their car. Chances are the cars are built the same way in regards to pre-wiring, et cetera.
