I'm in agreement the two week notice is the way to go. Avoid burning bridges at all costs. It's not uncommon for companies to ask you for contact info at the last place you worked to verify your work ethic, personality and so on.

I was just preparing myself for the worst. Maybe I don't use this company for recommendation... Who knows. I don't even have them on LinkedIn or on my resume. So maybe it'll be a 3 month gap if it comes down to it. I'm fine with it.
