I'm not a 100% certain about this, but I'm pretty sure you need to use Nero or Roxio to burn your videos as an ISO image, then they should play fine.
FYI, you won't be able to watch these videos while driving, unless you purchase the software change from prochip.de (which I did ages ago), then your passenger can watch the vids while the car's in motion.
In any case, fairly certain about the ISO image bit. Good luck.
