Van Cortlandt Park brings back bad memories of me coming in 37th place out of 50 during cross country run back in the early 90's in HS. Park is very big (yeah I know, that's what
bimmette said). As for Mt. Beacon, its about an hour north from the Bronx. Nice little town, lived there for almost 20 years.
