The best alternative is spare set of wheels. It doesn't help a lot when the flat happens but makes it much faster to be back on the road. Most shops don't stock our size tires so there will be a few days wait for the tire. If you have a spare set of wheels n tires you can just bolt in the set and roll. Then if it takes a while for a tire to get shipped in you can still drive your car.
