Switching the shifters wires is not dificult. The more tedious thing is to remove the airbag. Then, by a visual inspection on the shifters and the aid of an electric tester you can identify the different current pulses corresponding to push or pull and "cut and joint" the wires, welding or simply acoupling them using isolation tape. I had it done by an electric shop. No rocket science involved, only some basic skills.
