This forum is even more dead than when I got my Z4 a couple years ago. I can tell you for certain you don't need to break anything apart to do the main dash trim piece. I mean you COULD if you were a crazy person, but I wrapped mine with the other piece attached to it and it was no problem at all. The doors and drivers side trim will probably be harder though.
